7/24-7/27/18 @ NCTB underclass tourney - Couple of different reports from different scouts at the event: Sound up the middle approach at the plate. He can turn on an inside pitch and can take an outside pitch back up the middle, displaying good plate coverage. Has some pop and barrel awareness Defensively did a good job behind the plate. Blocked the ball well and showed strong arm, frames the ball in a smooth manner. Moves quick and with good agility behind the plate with good block and recover skills. /// Thick athletic body type. Sets up nice behind the plate and receives really well, can steal strikes. He also very verbal with his pitching staff and defense. He has a 2.1 pop time and has a quick release. Knows how to back door runners. He is wall back there and definitely works hard. Has open stance that shoots ball gap to gap. Works the count really well and has good plate discipline.
