Ryan Smith: C/OF, (2027) Fairfield High Preparatory School, CT. 5-foot-5, 165-pound sturdy strong build. Raw projectable during batting practice, the hitter had a max exit velocity of 74 mph. (59.0 mph bat speed average). (18.3 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic balanced stance with a tight compact load, then used a short stride. Has average bat speed, short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 64 mph; shows smooth quick feet, a developing transfer, and soft hands. had consistent pop times of 2.19-2.31. Some flexibility and athletic quiet setup. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. Recorded a time of 7.6 in the 60-yard dash.
