Projectable 6'3" 165 lbs. frame with long limbs and plenty of athleticism. Washington was a favorite of ours coming out of the fall and after a somewhat slow start to the spring season, he seems to be getting more and more comfortable in the box. He grounded out in his first at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, and with the Broncos infield drawn in, and then was hit by a pitch in his second at-bat, before delivering a two-strike RBI double to left field in his last at-bat to finish the night 1-2 at the plate. Defensively, he a smooth on the infield with crisp actions and the ball seems to hit the same spot in his glove on nearly every play. We'll be watching him closely the rest of this spring to see if his offense can continue to catch up to his defense, which it should with the more at-bats that he gets.
