Long and lean frame at 6-foot-2 157 pounds; right-handed hitting catcher ran a 4.59 home-to-1B. Offensively- Upright stance with barrel tipped up the 3B line; up-down stride with a flat barrel path through the zone. Short, compact swing with a two-handed finish. Line drives to his pull side and middle of the field. Raw exit velocity off the tee peaked at 77 MPH. Increased physical strength will allow him to reach his full power potential. Defensively- Behind the plate he sets up with feet shoulder width, slightly elevated, exchange is clean and he's able to stay on line throws when his front foot makes it all the way around. Staying lower and being more explosive out of the chute will lower his pop range of 2.38-2.41. Arm strength was up 7 MPH from last August to 70 MPH.
