The athlete's fastest 60-yard dash time in the given event year. Measured in seconds (s)
7.88
Outfield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an outfield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
83.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: 6-foot-0, 195 pounds; Athletic, average build. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 88 MPH, while sitting 84-86 MPH. CB: 68-70 MPH. CH: 77-79 MPH.
6/30/21
Physical: Strong, compact frame at 6-foot, 185lbs with connection in the actions. 7.88 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Shoulder-width, balanced stance to begin with the hands operating in subtle rhythm to start. Utilized a directional leg lift, landing even and initiating through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Lifted the torso up at the end of the swing, generating some loft in the approach and notched a clean 40% line drive rate (via Trackman). Had some of his best results to dead pull, letting the hands work to extension and produced a T90 mph bat-exit velocity with occasional doubles power.
Defensively: The outfielder chopped his feet early, holding crouched momentum over the front-side while staying behind the baseball until getting a good read. Fielded off his middle/left, funneling softly and releasing from an on-time H ¾ slot (83 mph arm, corner OF).
Pitching: RHP - Started from the left side of the rubber with some efficiency down the slope; held moderate pace and got to a comfortable stack position (medium height) before creating separation at hand break. H ¾ release and held the zone at 80-81 mph on the FB with heavy action. Mixed in a sharp, swing/miss breaking ball in the mid 60’s, showing hard sweep and turned to a developing 74-76 mph CH that could tunnel at times.
3/27/21
Physical: Athletic 5-foot-11, 180 lb frame.
Pitching: Controlled pace with a leg lift and coil before kicking out to a slightly open landing and getting to a repeatable release with a balanced follow through. moderate arm swing to a side 3/4 release (4'.2" release height)
FB: Elevates through the top of the zone with some arm side run. CB: Swing and miss 2-plane breaker with depth through the zone. CH: Kills the spin with arm side fade up to 14".
