Physical: 5-9, 145-pounds. Lean, athletic build. Pitching: Starts from left side of the rubber with a small drop step and hesitation on the pivot, leg lift to the belt, stays tall as glides out in line, shoulders stay in line with a slight lean over the belt before pulling through, front leg gives some at release and follow through . Come out of the glove to a neutral position, stays connected to a 3/4 release. FB: T77, 76-77 MPH. Commands in the zone. CB: 65-67 MPH. Commands in the zone with 11-5 shape. CH: 65-67 MPH.

Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and projectable arm. Kent worked with an impressive two pitch mix, FB and CB. He improved his FB velocity which peaked at 80 MPH. CB range was 65-67 MPH. Kent has a loose arm action and low effort delivery. Pitches from a high arm slot. The 2021 RHP will be one to follow as he continues to develop.
2/22/19
A lean 5-foot-9, 145 pounds. Ran a 7.27 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart. Hands stay loose away from the body, quick path to the baseball. Gets good use of the lower half and full extension through the point of contact. Showed consistency of hitting line drives in the middle of the field during the hitting portion. Top exit velocity was 75 MPH. Defensively- the infielder displayed active footwork. Gets in a low wide baseball when fielding the baseball. Quick smooth transition when fielding the baseball. Quick low effort release on throws across the diamond. Top throwing velocity 74 MPH. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery. Low effort mechanics. Works mainly from the left side of the rubber. Uses a mid-high knee lift and drifts down the mound. Could get more use of his lower half. From the stretch, works mainly with a slide step. FB has arm side run and peaked at 78 MPH. Showed feel for a CB 61-62 MPH and CH 67-68 MPH.
