2/12/17 6-foot-0, 190-pound prospect. The Marshall commit has above average tools across the board. At the plate he takes his hands back to launch during his stride forward, creating balance and separation. Showed excellent feel for the barrel while working on a level plane. Consistently produced hard contact, with the ability to backspin balls up the middle. Was at his best when he worked the right-center gap. In the infield he is mechanically sound with fluid actions. Glove skills are above average. Doesn’t have a canon across the infield but makes up for it with his ability to get rid of the ball quickly.
6/3/15 6-foot, 170-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows average range and fields the ball out in front. Shows a clean transfer with 76 mph arm strength from a 3/4 slot. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Little leg kick to load with an uphill swing. Registered top exit velocity of 77 mph and ran 4.51 home to first.
7/29/14 5-foot-10, 150 pound frame. Preston projects more as a second baseman and really does a good job fielding the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a low ¾ slot with little effort in his throw. Left-handed hitter that starts with his hands high and with a high finish. His stance starts open to close and gets out of the box well.
