8/19/17 William & Mary commit was arguably the most impressive prospect of the weekend. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitter, who runs a 6.50 60-yard dash, put that foot speed on display on a triple to left field that drove in three runs. Conti added a double to go 2-for-4 on the day and finished his tournament by taking the mound, sitting 85-87 with a very quick arm. Conti impressed with his angles to baseballs at shortstop and quick release while making difficult plays look routine all weekend.
4/22/17 5-foot-11, 165-pound William and Mary recruit flashed above average athleticism making two difficult plays defensively. Conti was able to cross over, dive to his left, right himself ad make a strong throw on a one hop smash up the middle. He also made a difficult slow roller play look easy flashing a soft glove hand and good footwork. Offensively, the right-handed hitter demonstrates above average bat speed, a short path to the baseball, quick hands and hips. He would benefit from a more rhythmic load and consistency in stepping away from hands.
