2024 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

LHP Nathan Matoush (Hillsboro, 2025) and RHP Matthew Steinberg (St. Charles East, 2025) are a pair of uncommitted arms headed to this week’s event. Both have shown mid-80s fastball with quality off-speed offerings. At last winter’s Preseason All-State event, Matoush showed feel to throw his change-up for strikes with fade (-13.4” avg.), and a curveball with 12/6 action. Steinberg showed a four-pitch offering at an event last summer, and his fastball came out clean, topping out at 85.3 mph.

OF/3B James Dooman (Glenbrook South, 2026) had an impressive day at this past winter’s Preseason All-State event, posting a max exit velocity of 94 mph and an average of 90.3 mph. It’s an easy right-handed swing with a direct path to the ball. Showed well in the outfield, too, with a strong arm on throws to home (88 mph).

INF Max Judge (Hinsdale Central, 2027) is an intriguing sophomore-to-be headed to the event on Wednesday. He stands in a strong and athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame with seemingly more to come. He had an impressive round of batting practice at an event last fall, showing an easy and simple swing from the right side of the plate with balance throughout.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

Because of the high number of prospects set to attend Wednesday’s event, it is imperative that you read our showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smart phone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PBR profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.
