Back in February Prep Baseball hosted the Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State event. Featuring some of the top talent in the area, several prospects had standout performances. Here are three notable incoming Washington seniors from the event that are currently uncommitted.

Cody O'Donnell

Class of 2025 / RHP

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: RHP
    Secondary Position: SS
  • High School: Eastlake
    State: WA
  • Summer Team: Washington A's 18 Premier
  • Height: 6-1
    Weight: 190lbs
  • Bat/Throw: R/R

Scouting Report

O’Donnell is an arm with a lot of upside. At 6’1 190 lbs, he locates his FB at 83 with an ease that suggests room for future velocity gains. His mechanics are polished, beginning with a high leg kick, staying tall into a slight rotation with the upper half before separation. Whippy arm action/path at a consistent  ¾ slot across his four-pitch arsenal. Changeup has strong vertical movement and dives out of the zone. FB moves well too, and will only improve with more velocity.

Will Bond

Class of 2025 / OF

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: OF
    Secondary Position: RHP
  • High School: Tumwater
    State: WA
  • Summer Team: USA Prime 18U
  • Height: 6-1
    Weight: 180lbs
  • Bat/Throw: L/R

Scouting Report

Bond is a lefty bat with high rotational strength and quick hands. Begins swing with high hands and coiled right leg before a stride that sees his front foot open slightly. He gets to a good point of contact and has good feel for the barrel, with high numbers in the sweet spot, hard hit and line drive categories. Bat has pop, with exit velocity consistently sitting in the 90s, and the capability to put the ball out of the yard. Gets it done in the outfield on routine plays. Bat-first prospect. On the mound, Bond sits in the low 80s with his FB, and mixes in a solid splitter with some run.

Mason Hill

Class of 2025 / SS

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: SS
    Secondary Position: RHP
  • High School: Bellevue Christian
    State: WA
  • Summer Team: Elevate NW
  • Height: 6-2
    Weight: 180lbs
  • Bat/Throw: R/R

Scouting Report

Hill impresses physically at 6’2, 180 lbs. In the box his stance is tall and his hands are quiet. He has a compact, slow stride that works in tandem with opposite top half movement, creating solid separation with his hands. Rest of swing is smooth and consistent. Some effortless power present. Glove is solid, and his feet move well at short. Gets to good fielding positions on balls to his left and right. Arm slot is a high ¾, almost directly over the top on balls right at him. Shows ability to adjust his arm slot on throws to 2B. On the mound, he comes right over the top and spins his FB at a high level. Will be tough to hit at top of the zone especially as velocity increases.
