EVENT HISTORY

Last year, our staff ran the first-ever summer showcase in the Madison area, which proved to host talent throughout at Sun Prairie East High School.

INF Aidan Kammer (Jefferson, 2024; Edgewood College commit) was one of the top performers throughout the WIAA season this spring—going on to hit .457 with over 40 hits for a successful Eagles team. He enjoyed a strong showing at the event last summer, posting max exit velocities in the mid-90s throughout his BP session. Kammer went on to put together a quality outing during his defensive session, too. Later on during the fall, Kammer committed to Edgewood College, where he will be joining their program in the next couple of months.

On the mound, RHP Benjamin Ketelsen (Sun Prairie West, 2024; Madison JC) jumped on the scene in Madison and emerged as arguably the top pitcher on the roster, as he was fresh off of a strong spring for the Wolves. Ketelsen followed it up with a solid summer at tournaments, as his FB touched 83 mph multiple times during the showcase. He moved on to commit to Madison JC in the fall—finishing a strong prep career this spring.

OF/RHP Luke Hurlebaus (Waunakee, 2025) was a third prospect who made a name for himself at Sun Prairie East High School last year, as the uncommitted athlete provided a strong BP session, in addition to sitting in the low-80s during his ‘pen back in June of 2023. He followed it up this past winter with a standout performance at the Madison Preseason ID—setting himself up well for the upcoming summer.

2024 ROSTER

The 2024 roster is shaping up to provide some talent in a similar sense, featuring numerous under-the-radar prospects from all different classes, each of which our staff is excited to get a look at.

The roster starts with a standout from the past couple of months in OF/C Bennett Cagle (Edgewood, 2025), who is coming off of a Division 2 State Championship. The right-handed batter emerged as one of the top hitters in the Crusaders lineup, along with raising his stock in Wisconsin’s 2025 class. In multiple looks, Cagle has demonstrated his easy power to the pull-side by launching a couple of home runs. He popped at a summer showcase last year, and now enters Tuesday as one of the top names-to-know in attendance.

Bennett Cagle [9/24/23]

C/INF Jack Brenner (Fond du Lac, 2026) is another intriguing bat and defender, as he’s currently ranked No. 34 in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. Brenner showed well at the Madison Preseason ID back in March—establishing himself as one of the top catchers in the class. The to-be junior is an athletic prospect that can excel at multiple positions, which is paired with a strong, consistent bat at the plate.

Jack Brenner [3/10/24]

It continues with UTL Brayden Banyai (Madison Memorial, 2026), who is fresh off of a strong showing this spring for the Spartans. Banyai took over the leadoff spot during his sophomore campaign, batting .325 on the season with 30 runs scored and 14 stolen bases. This will be Banyai’s first look in a showcase setting, as the right-hander has also previously rushed his FB up to 85 mph. Banyai is an upside two-way prospect who gained valuable experience in the Big Eight Conference this spring—looking to carry that momentum into Tuesday.

OF Joseph Meeter (Holmen, 2026) and INF Brendan Kellar (Badger, 2026) are a pair of intriguing bats in Wisconsin’s 2026 class, as each of which showed well during the Madison Preseason ID back in March. Meeter went on to take over a starting role in the outfield for a quality Vikings program, one that hovered near the back end of the Power 25 rankings during the regular season.

Joseph Meeter [3/10/24]

Kellar utilized the whole field during his BP session at Madison earlier this year—showcasing an accurate arm and steady hands on the infield, defensively.

Brendan Kellar [3/10/24]

INF/RHP Cason Genin (Verona Area, 2027) and OF/RHP Jackson Farina (Waukesha West, 2027) each showed well over the winter, too. Genin made some noise at the Madison Preseason ID in a wiry 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame that continues to develop. The to-be sophomore moves well on the infield and has a quality feel for the barrel.

Cason Genin [3/10/24]

Farina was more of the same at the plate, as Farina provided a repeatable approach and strong hands—allowing the barrel to fly through the strike zone consistently. He showed potential to stick on the mound after his bullpen, too. Farina’s FB sat in the mid-to-upper-70s throughout his entire bullpen, as the 2027 graduate continues to refine, develop his two-pitch mix.

Jackson Farina [3/3/24]

INF/RHP Carson Page (Port Washington, 2025) and OF/RHP Jack Towne (Columbus, 2026) are a pair of athletes who made their way onto our staff’s WIAA Daily Roundup during the spring on numerous occasions for their individual performances. They round out the roster making their way to DeForest on Tuesday, each bringing a two-way skill set to the table.
